We
are a family owned business started in 1957 by Homer
Bartow. Presently Tracy Bartow, grandson of the founder,
is the President/CEO of Brunk. Brunk began operations
in 1957 as a local trucking company but with the Bartow
leadership has diversified into plastics processing,
storage and delivery, and calcium chloride distribution.
In 1999 Brunk spun off the calcium chloride and trucking
business activities into a separate company, AJP Corporation,
also owned and operated by Tracy Bartow. In 2001 Brunk
expanded its operations by opening a facility in the
Minneapolis, Minnesota area. The two companies operate
out of the same locations and combine to form a one-stop
shop for product distribution. With our rail, trucking
and warehousing capabilities
we have become a popular choice for product distribution
for the upper United States. Our services are particularly
suited to the plastics industry, where Brunk's name
is synonymous with superior quality and service, but
also lend themselves to the warehousing
and distribution of a variety of products.
Brunk
employs 45 dedicated employees and specializes in
the storage and distribution of plastic pellets for
the plastics industry and the pulverizing of plastic
for use in rotational molding. We offer the highest
quality powders in the industry, while maintaining
a 0.5% or less shrink factor, by capitalizing on our
years of experience and through the use of quality
Reduction Engineering machines. Attention to detail
and automated handling ensures contamination-free
product movement. Strong work ethic and dedicated
customer service have been a tradition of the Bartow
family and remains at the core of our culture.
Our
sister company, AJP Corporation, owns and operates
a truck fleet specially engineered for the transport
of plastic. With our lightweight trailers we can deliver
single bulk loads of 50,000 pounds or more of plastic.
More product per load translates into delivery savings
to our customers.
Brunk's
Goshen facility is located on Norfolk Southern rail
lines, where we have 85 railcar spots. Our Minnesota facility is adjacent to Canadian Pacific
rail with 13 available spots. Our access to, and relationships
with, these three major rail carriers allow us to
economically serve the Midwest. With ten self-loading
bulk trailers we have the flexibility and capability
to ensure scheduling and deliveries to meet our customers'
specific needs.
Our
experience has told us our customers have very unique
and special needs. We have found our success to be
in our commitment to serve those needs. We invite
you to browse our web site and get to know us better.
